Read the Mind blowing piece by Otor Ade on the First class Chieftancy Saga

A selected Chief is supposed to be loved and respected by his subjects.

By Ade Joseph Otor

A functional Chief deserves legitimacy which is the wire of his recognition. We should look beyond a tenure of a government that ends in the next 2 or 4 years. What is happening in IGEDE is most unfortunate. It is quite unfortunate that the interest playing out is made too glaring.
The few Igede sons commissioned to execute the hatchet job should look back in history. Such infractions on the sacred cultural issue has brought refraction and repercussions in the recent past. You can manipulate the process, but you can't manipulate the conscience of the people. Imperatively, the government by now must be beware that even those commissioned to execute the plan have not demonstrated the expected odd wisdom. It should be known that this government will not be the last government in Benue. It is most regrettable and mind-buggling that the government and its commissioned personages could not understand the dynamics and percularities of IGEDE.. It is painful that the government could not stage manage its interest in such a delicate exercise and, this is running counter productive. This is suprising at a time when democratic governance is pretentiously made preponderant..

Remember too that every seed of discord sown amongst a tribe and its people grows to shelve down its leafs some days..
As for me,I have taken an impression from Plato's deep thoughts. The just man today can only be tested when given same opportunities with the unjust man..It is not enough to push through an agenda. The difficulty is with winning the minds and the heads of the people.Every con action has a coin with which you pay for it,either today or whenever....read more

At least, the Igede nation is aware of an external interest in the selection of its Chief..The success or not of that agenda is not an issue as its existence. What is an issue to me is the government's constant refrain to "God say" or 'God instructed me that I should not interfer with the process'....Thou shall not use the name of God in vain...#IGEDEARISE****
