Entertainment Scene: Banger alert! Mad Over You cover by Emperor Swagz (Rap Version)

‘Mad over you’ by Runtown is undoubtedly one of the biggest singles on the Nigeria entertainment scene coming into the New Year. Still basking in the Euphoria of its successful release, trend and massive acceptance, ‘mad over you’ has gotten another professional treatment, unarguably the most innovative so far, tagged the "rap version"...

This cover is made by prolific Ballership Entertainment's signed act EMS, from Benue state Nigeria. Tiv rapper EMS. EMS is back from Ballership studios, where he is cooking up his debut album, with his own spin on ‘mad over you’. The ‘Follow Da Ladda’ crooner who got the club banging with his afro hiphop fusion dancehall track (Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/user-337437551/ladda-by-ems-main) a few months back, is currently receiving massive airplay in the north. This amazing rapper, dropped ingenious bars, bringing his unique style and creativity to the song and therefore making it more appealing to a cross section of fans across Africa.
No more ‘mad over you’ covers should be allowed because EMS has wrapped it up with this one. EMS does not play, taking influences from his own native style to deliver a stormer. Photos: Suspected 'robber' narrowly escapes lynching in Benue State

A suspected robber identified as Ugo, narrowly escaped lynching after he was on caught with knives at Ella market, Otukpo, Benue State. But for the quick intervention of some good Samaritans, the suspect, said to be from Anambra State, would have been lynched by Okada riders.

"He was looking too rough so we decided to approach him, he sounds too rude and we decided to search him because some of us suspected him to be one of those robbers snatching bikes from people," an eyewitness said. "While we were searching him, we discovered that he's carrying two knives, immediately we rushed him to the vigilante because some okada guys were ready to stone and burn him to death.
"We have gone through his phone and contacted his people already, according to them, he is not mentally stable and they are on their way from Anambra state where he is believed to have come from."

Popular actor, John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu has revealed how he was luckily stopped from taking his life in 1997 after the hardship in his life became unbearable.

He explained that apart from being without ‘roof over his head’ at the time, he had endured hunger for three days before his suicide attempt
“Do you know that there was a day that I had prepared to kill myself in Ajao Estate? That day, I was prepared to jump into a well because of the situation that surrounded me. Three days before that day, I had not eaten and I did not have hope of eating for the next week. I was only surviving on water and I hate it when I bother anyone. Most of my close friends were not bothered about my well-being even though it was obvious that I was not alright. I remember December 18, 1997, a friend of mine who I squatted with called me in the morning and told me that he would be going home for Christmas and he did not want anyone to be in his room. I assured him that no one would come to his place but he said he wanted me out of the room. I told him that I did not have another place to stay and he should trust me that as usual, I would take good care of the place. Though I was older than him, I did all the washing and cleaning of the house to the extent that I washed his panties and underwear. I did that so that I could have a roof over my head. But out of anger, that my friend went into the house, brought out all my things and threw them outside, then he told me to leave his house, he locked his door and left.

We Asked 8 Ladies What They Wished Guys Would Do More In Bed And They Said This

I’m on a personal campaign to find out how freaky Nigerian girls are so that when i finally get married i’d  finish the future Mrs. so that she won’t complain like most married women do. According to research i discovered that most married women aren’t happy with the way their husbands sleep with them and they don’t reach orgasm, some like rough s3x but if they ask their husband for it he could think else where so they die in silence.
I decided to ask 8 women what they wish men did to them more during s3x and this was what they said.
source : www.greennews.com

1. “Directing my head during a blowjob. A lot. I want his hand all knotted up in my hair, pushing me up and down on his dick.”  Bolanle, 24

2. “I love when guys are really forward about what they want, and then let me reject it, instead of just assuming I’m really conservative or prude or whatever. Nine times out of ten, I’m into it, as long as the sex is hot.”  Feyi, 21

3. “Bite me, hard enough to leave marks. I love being scratched, bitten, choked — all in the context of really good, hot sex, of course. But I love a little bit of pain.”  Amaka 26

4. “I love when a guy comes into me a TON right before we go out and its dripping down my thighs all night, and he knows it. Games like that are very, very hot.”  Omolade
5. “This is going to sound so corny but I really love when a guy tells me how much he loves me in bed, and how much he wants to be with me, how much he needs me, etc. Once my boyfriend told me he couldn’t wait to spend his life with me while we were having sex and I thought my vagina would fall off from the hotness of it all.”  Morenike 30

6. “Kiss me really deeply during orgasm. Really deeply, like you want to swallow me whole.”  Jenrade 19

7. “When my boyfriend and I are really into it, he will look at me and not break eye contact, and have this deeply pleasured, almost pained look in his face. He’ll say “don’t fucking look away from me” and pull my face back towards him if I try to break his stare. It’s like catnip, I love it.”  Lolade 28

8. “Lick your fingers after you finger me. It’s so hot.”  Memshima 24

Remembering Enenche Akogwu: On 20 January 2012, Enenche Akogwu was killed at the age of 31. Channels Television reporter

Remembering Enenche Akogwu:
On 20 January 2012, Enenche Akogwu was killed at the age of 31.

Earlier that day, he was at his office in Kano with his best friend and colleague, Idris Jibrin, when they heard several bomb explosions and decided to investigate.
Akogwu heard that some of the bombing was taking place at the Farm Centre Police Station so he went there and approached some by-standers to get a quote. Those by-standers turned out to be Islam Militants from the terrorist group Boko Haram, who immediately shot and killed Akogwu.
When Jibrin heard about the gunfire at Farm Centre, he tried calling Akogwu's cellphone but got no answer. He headed toward the scene to see if Akogwu was alright. A by-stander told Jibrin that a journalist had been shot, so he went to the body and discovered that it was Akogwu. Akogwu had been shot six times. He was shot three times in the chest and three times in the stomach. Jibrin delivered the news to Channels Television that their journalist had been killed.

Our attention has been drawn to a public letter by Prof. Ode Ojowu, in which he has alleged of Deputy Governor Benson Abounu and APC state chairman, Abba Yaro, wanting to dictate the outcome of the ongoing selection process of first class chief in Igede.
Ordinarily, we did not want to respond to the letter. We believe the issues raised in it are such that as someone who has unfettered access to Engr. Abounu and Yaro, the professor was supposed to have called the two leaders for resolution of whatever reservation he has over the process of selection of traditional chiefs.
Unfortunately, he did not toe that line. Instead, he chose to make a damning public statement. He did not stop at that, he published it on the social media. read more

YOU GOT IT WRONG, PROF. ODE OJOWU

The public statement issued by Professor Ode Ojowo, erstwhile Economic Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the selection of chiefs in Benue state with particular reference to Igede land is a pure case of calculated mischief. And, we are disappointed. Prof. Ojowu is a highly respected Benue son with unfettered acess to the state Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu. However, instead of meeting him to resolve whatever concerns he has, he chose to deride him with a public statement he knows to be untrue.

Agatu Land Deal: "Conspiracy Against The People"

PRESS RELEASE:
Agatu Land Deal: "Conspiracy Against The People"
Source : Naijavoice.com / NAIJAVOICEWEB.COM

News available has it that an agreement had been reached between the Agatu people of Benue state and the fulani's herdsmen of Nassarwa state which saw Adepati Island ceded to fulani herdsman for the purpose of grazing. The agreement was reported to have been signed by leaders from both sides, it is important to note that Agatu does not exist independent of the Idoma nation and it is also pertinent to note that Agatu is strategic to the Idoma land in particular and Benue State at large considering the geographic location and its rich mineral and human resources.
No one needs a service of a prophet to understand that a state backed occupation of Agatu land by fulani's is a threat to the already abysmal security in Agatu and by extension Benue state, we have not forgotten the obnoxious invasion of Agatu land by herdsmen that led to the insidious decimation of the populace around the axis.

Just in: Prof Ojowu responds to Ode Obam's observation on his article on Adutu selection

If, Prof Ode Ojowu, will read this, then let me ask , is the Adirahu IGEDE selection / Election limited to APC government . Why has he refused to copy the Distinguished Former President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who is the his Senator , Senator David AB Mark and the the Leader of IGEDE nation, Chairman, House Committee on Air Force, Rt Hon Samson Okwu. What is the role of Senator George Akume in the appointment of Adirahu IGEDE ? I thought we have gone beyond politics now and are in Governance. When will our elders change ?

His observations are right and I admit it is an oversight. I was more concerned with people who I thought were in a direct line of frustrating or facilitating the process. In all the meetings that took place I never heard that the Distinguished Senator either took part or made any comments. Similarly for the Hon member of the House. I believe that our leaders will begin to change when they are sensitive to and accommodate alternative views as well as admit of their mistakes. I wished Ode Obam had not concentrated exclusively on the circulation list, but on the content of the letter as well.
Regards,
Prof Ode Ojowu

Big Story : Statement by Prof Ode Ojowu on the appointment of 1st Class Chief in Igedeland

Statement by Prof Ode Ojowu on the appointment of 1st Class Chief in Igedeland

The law setting out the procedure for the appointment of more Chiefs in Benue State has been long in coming. It was first muted under the Adasu Administration 1992-1993. Governor Suswam’s administration, 2007-2015, took up the matter more vigorously towards the end of his second term, but the finalization of the legislative processes for the appointment of the chiefs was concluded under the present administration of His Excellency, Samuel Ortom.
Ever since then, the Tiv people have concluded the appointment of the additional six 1st Class Chiefs in their cultural domain, including the appointment of their paramount ruler, the Tor Tiv. The appointment of Chiefs among the Idoma and the Igede people was initially held up because our Paramount ruler, the Och’Idoma, sought some clarification which he has got from the government of the state. This clarification was bolstered by in-house sensitization of the Paramount ruler who has since nodded approval for the appointment of the Chiefs within his domain.

ALOCHU TO GOVT: DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY ON OJU-AWAJIR ROAD NOW

ALOCHU TO GOVT: DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY ON OJU-AWAJIR ROAD NOW
*Says road is death trap
By James Ibechi
Founder of Alochu Foundation, Benue-based charity organisation, Chief Frankie Ipobu Alochu, has restated his worry over the total state of disrepair of the Oju-Awajir road, calling on Benue State Government to immediately declare a state of emergency on the road.
Chief Alochu who frowned at the level of neglect of the only road directly linking Oju LGC with the Benue State Capital city, Makurdi, said that the condition of the road has now worsened to the level that it has disturbingly become a death trap.
The philanthropist cum business mugul was fielding questions from The Hawk Newspaper journalists over his humanitarian succor for the less privilege in the Igede community under his charity organisation called Alochu Foundation at his home town of Oju LGA, when he expressed his worry over the Oju-Awajir road.
Chief Alochu, during his mother’s burial, recently expressed worry over the dilapidated state of the road, volunteering to render a kinda self-help support or to partner with the state government if it makes move to repair the road.

National Story :::We Don’t Want Ekweremadu In Our Party – Enugu APC

We Don’t Want Ekweremadu In Our Party – Enugu APC
The Enugu State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said it did not want Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, in the party.
Senator Kabiru Marafa, an APC senator from Zamfara, had advised Ekweremadu, who represents Enugu West Senatorial Zone in the Senate, to defect to the APC if he must keep his seat as the Deputy Senate President.
But the APC in Enugu State did not welcome Marafa’s call on Ekweremadu.
Speaking with journalists in Enugu, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Enugu State, Mrs. Kate Offor, said the Deputy Senate President was not needed in the party.
Offor said Ekweremadu should remain in the PDP, which she said he (Ekweremadu) contributed in ‘destroying’.
The Deputy Senate President would be an unwelcome guest in Enugu State APC, should he decide to join the party, Offor stressed.
“We wish to make it very clear that Ekweremadu is an unwanted guest in the Enugu State APC. Let him stay and salvage the inferno festering in the PDP,” she said.
Mrs. Offor noted that Ekweremadu would bring ‘confusion’ into the APC.

Mind blowing piece by............. IGEDE: The Crown of Multiple Voices by By Comrade Ben I. Obega

IGEDE: The Crown of Multiple Voices

In every generation of mankind, a society that does not appreciate the role and significant of a common voice, be it small or a larger ethnic group is heading to an untold pain, sorrows and captivity.
When a group of people of a common social-cultural heritage find themselves in such an unhealthy atmosphere of life; political marginalization, social injustices and inequality, hatred and lack of focal point to structural development therefore, triumph over the ‘voice of freedom’. There is no doubt, a critical evaluation revealed that poverty has become an endemic in a society, progressively lead to untimely death, sending ‘unripe fruits of souls’ to their ancestral homes.
The gods are perceived to be angry with such situation of unripe harvest of souls. Aside the current deplorable state of living, fears of tomorrow had overwhelmed the remnant children and youths who are mere spectators watching actors and actresses on the stage promoting self, divisions, unhealthy legacies and greed rather than amplifying a common voice of IgedeNation.

Re: Recession: ‘FG, States Must Engage In Food Production’ Prof Ode Ojowu

A former Chief Economic Adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prof. Ode Ojowu, yesterday urged the Federal Government to work with states and local governments in the area of food production as part of measures to overcome the recession facing the country.

by

He gave the advice in Abuja at a one-day Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Media cluster meeting on ‘Buharimeter’ organised by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA). Ojowu said it is known that food accounts for over 54 per cent of Nigerian households’ expenditure and that the extensive inequality among Nigerians makes using average assessment untenable.

“If we want to talk about recession in this context, we should rather be calling it hunger and famine and I think there is lack of internal capacity to deal with this challenge. When we had the oil boom we spend and spend without investing and also we refused to save.”

Call Obi Local Government Sole Administrator to Order before he destroys the Obi APC

Party faithful have asked the members of the APC to call the sole administrator Hon Peter Oche Okwugbem to order in what they describe and excessive misplacement of priority and cluelessness. Bearing from the wake of his emergence as the Sole administration from an exercise which party member describe as unfair and bias as his selection process did not follow the laid down criteria outlined by His Excellency Governor Samuel Ortom, The Governor clearly stated that any nominee for the position must be a founding member of the party which Hon Peter was not and arising from the clear fact that his predecessor is also from the same Zone and Council ward and Clan.
Even when the party tend to let sleeping Dog lie and accept him, it is obvious that he has disregarded the strength of the party hence he has aligned himself to the corridors of power. Hon Peter has not seen any reason for scheduling party congress in whatever form since he became the sole Administration, the Local government is solely managed from his bedroom with his cabal. Prominent issues amongst which the party faithful consider as an insult from Hon Peter range from:

RE: EXCLUSIVE: Why we struck in Agatu — Fulani herdsmen by Emmanuel Mayah, Sani Tukur and Hassan Adebayo

A leader of the Fulani ethnic group has provided a detailed insight into why his people attacked the Agatu people of Benue, sacking several communities and killing hundreds.
In an exclusive interview with PREMIUM TIMES, Saleh Bayeri, the Interim National Secretary of Gan Allah Fulani Association, rose in defence of his kinsmen, saying the February bloody conflict in Benue was a reprisal attack by his people against the Agatus who he accused of killing, in 2013, a prominent Fulani man.

Igede people respond to James Ibechi on AD’OJU ACCUSES OMI’ NY IGEDE PRESIDENT GENERAL, ODE ENYI, OF CORRUPTION

Emmanuel Ibu I know that people normally run away when they wanted to make them traditional ruler in Igede in those days, for the fear of all that is entails in becoming a traditional ruler, but because these positions are juicy as government have a stake in it people are fighting to be one today. In Igede there conditions that qualify one to be a Chief, it is not anyone that is interested. This has to do with your birth, your characters, your linage and your ability to lead people with bias and selfishness. Most of the people that are fighting to be either third class or first class Chief by all means have their personal plan which is not far from greed. Igede people must be mature, bold and decisive in selecting who become our first class Chief. We must borrow cue from the Tiv Nation in selecting who occupy the office. Posterity will not forgive us if we fail. This is our ample chance to show to the world that we can handle issues that concern us without rancour. Igede people have suffered enough in the hands of our so-called political god fathers, they must not be allow to hijack this one, if not Igede nation is gone. God forbid that it should happen. God bless Igede Nation.

AD’OJU ACCUSES OMI’ NY IGEDE PRESIDENT GENERAL, ODE ENYI, OF CORRUPTION

AD’OJU ACCUSES OMI’ NY IGEDE PRESIDENT GENERAL, ODE ENYI, OF CORRUPTION
*As Abounu provides roadmap for selection of royal fathers
By James Ibechi

In the wake of the selection of royal fathers across Tiv, Idoma and Igedeland in Benue State when trade of accusations has dogged every stage in the process, it is common to hear that one group has collected bribes and another one is hijacking or usurping the powers or the role of the others, for political reasons.
So, it sounds common or ordinary if just anyone accuses the Acting President General of Omi’Ny Igede, apex Igede socio-cultural organization, Ode Enyi, of collecting bribe to use the socio-cultural organization under his command to foist a first class chief on the Igede people.
But when such an accusation comes strongly from Ad’Oju the extant Igede traditional ruler, Chief Augustine Egbere Ogbu, a second class chief, it is significant and arouses the ears of everyone to the accusation, and more interest of the people to the process of the selection of the royal fathers.                                            read more after cut

A kingdom that operate without a relevant kingship hardly fulfill her destiny. Like any other sound traditionally oriented society, Igede as an entity, with a unique cultural heritage in Benue State, deserve to be recognized by exalted office of the first class chief. Several years ago, an agitation for such a glorious crown was observed to be obstructed by some invisible forces.
However, every “wall of jerico” in life, has an expiring date to collapse. The combinations of two or more tribes with conflicting multi cultural heritage explains how unhealthy and inconvenience the marriage is in Idoma kingdom when traditional issues is being mirrored. Otor Jackson Ogbu : Voice Out on Adutu Selection Process

ADIRAHU IGEDE : THE PLOT . This is part of the purported list Och'Idoma and his cohorts presented to His Excellency , But thank God , Dr Ortorm in his wisdom dismissed it with a wave of hand . (Unconfirmed source ) Adirahu Igede - Chief Augustine Egbere Ogbu . Adutu Oju -Chief Obande Adoga Igede Centre Third Class Chief -Chief Joseph Uta (Ag. District Head of Oju) Uwokwu Third Class Chief - Chief Ode Okponya (District Head of Okpokpo ) Adutu Obi -Chief Linus Okwute etc . Those castigating Omi Ny Igede and the popular zoning formula are the mastermind of this devilish plot against the wishes and aspirations of Igede people . Is this the due process some of you are advocating ? All these persons so loved by Och 'Idoma faught against the granting of Igede autonomous Traditional Council and they are shamelessly been paraded as beneficiaries . The due process will be a free , fair and transparent election conducted by the Bureau of Local Gout and Chieftaincy Affairs , Makurdi for all qualified aspirants on the day to be approved by His Excellency . This gang up against Igede nation has already failed woefully . Igede People will definitely recommend the dethroning of some key Chiefs as arrangements are on top gear to begin collation of signatories . Watch out for more details .
