HON GODWIN IJEKE'S DEATH IS ONE TOO MANY -Nick Eworo By Andyson Iji Egbodo






Tears flowed down the cheeks of the high, low and people of all ages in the manner of the highest ocean current any mortal can ever imagine as the remains of a former deputy Leader of Obi LG Legislative arm, Late Hon Godwin Ede Ijeke who died in the Benue State University Teaching Hospital a day to Christmas was lowered to mother earth today at Ojwo-Okutungbe of Obi Local Government Area of Benue State.
Describing the pains of how personally he has lost a political General in Late Hon Ijeke, Deputy Majority Leader of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Nick Eworo said Hon Ijeke's death is one too many. He however opined that Obi LG in particular will never forget his imputs while serving in the Council. Eworo further stated that the Deceased has, by His positive contributions to the development of his Constituency, immortalized himself already.


Praying for repose of the soul of the departed, Rt Hon Eworo narrated how he took the Late Ijeke from one medical facility to the other in futile efforts to save his life. He admonished the members of his immediate and extended family to accept the unfortunate development as an act of God without whose permission nothing could happen to any man. Rt Hon Eworo promised that he will do everything within his power to find placement in the civil service for one if not all of the children of the Late politician so that the vacuum created by His sudden demise wouldn't overwhelm his children.
Eworo was accompanied by thousands of his supporters and political associates prominent amongst whom were the Former Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Williams Ogbole Edo, Former member of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Egbiri Idaah, Rev Pinot Ogbaji, Obi Local Government Sole Administrator, Comrade Peter Onche, Bar. Joshua Alobo, Hon Sam Itachu, Bar. Tony Idikwu, all Ward Chairmen(APC) in Obi, Comrade Ajoma Success, Youth Leaders, Oju LG Sole Administrator, Hon Austin Okwoche, Dr Gabriel Adenyuma, Bar. Paul Ikwe, Hon Ben Ogah, Comrade Ogbale Ogah, women groups and others in large numbers.
